This split bolt design is intended for use with Microjig tracks and jigs (1/2'' x 14° tracks at 3/8 deep). The split design simplifies printing and allows the bolts to be inserted one half at a time and combined at any point in the track, not just at the open ends. The bolts are M8 sized and feature an FDM-friendly trapezoidal thread. They are ideal for situations where you want to avoid the risk of a saw blade or CNC mill accidentally hitting metal bolts.
V2 was redesigned to handle filament and printer variations with more grace. Three different nut files are provided for fit tolerances of 0, .1 and .175 (start with .175).
Printing Tips:
There are now 3 different nuts for different fit tolerances start with the widest .175 (Nut M8 V2 175i) and go smaller if you want a tighter bolt to nut fit.
I like to use 4 walls loops to keep things strong
