There's a spot for a label at the top, which can be removed with a sharp knife if you don't want it, or need the maximum amount of space.
I recommend securing these to the pipe so they won't rotate or pull out on you. But you may want to do it in a temporary way in case a rod breaks inside your rack, or a short rod gets stuck in there. You can use a small dab of PVC cement, E6000, or whatever you have lying around.
