A dash mount that uses the provided case from Cobb to mount the AP to the left of the steering wheel.

I wanted a low profile Accessport mount that didn't block visibility out the front windshield and was adjustable.
This mount uses a cable tie looped through the dash vent to secure itself to the lip on the dashboard. The nut and ball allow you to adjust the angle and rotation of the AP to get a comfortable view.
Should fit all MK7 GTI/Golf/Sportwagen models.

I printed in ASA in the orientations shown in images, support needed in various areas. Model files available for modification. I used some Silicone lubricant on the threads to get a smooth engagement and to allow the nut to tighten enough to lock the device.
I routed the cable from the drivers footwell up behind the storage cubby and then through the left dash trim panel ran the cable through the small gap at the top (Photo 7). There is just enough room to not pinch when door is shut.
I used some 3M Velcro strip to secure the OBD connector when cable is not in use or when I need to plug in other accessories.
There is a loop on the top of the clip to run another cable tie to secure the connector end of the cable and keep the wire tight from out of the dash.
When not in use I tuck the extra cable underneath the cable running to the cable tie on the clip.
