This is my variation on the famous Tomorrowland Trash Can emblem, found at Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom. I didn't like the others I downloaded, so I built this from scratch in Fusion. I designed it so each major element is on a different layer so a multi color print can be made by pausing and changing filament color.
I use Prusa Slicer for my multi color prints because it does a nice job of adding pauses to the g-code and visualizing the color changes.
Print Settings:
- Resolution: 0.20mm layer height
- Infill: 20% works fine
- Brim: use a brim if you have issues with edges curling up.
I printed with a stock Ender 3 Max Neo.
Filament Colors:
- Polymaker Matte PLA, Army Blue https://amzn.to/3CM8OWQ
- Geeetech Silk PLA, Metallic Silver https://amzn.to/4hTRONh
- Voxelab PLA Pro, Black https://amzn.to/40ZmRR0
Color changes with .20mm layers (and my color choices):
- Layer 0 (dark blue)
- Layer 16 (silver)
- Layer 21 (silver)
- Layer 28 (black)
I might also print one with only silk gold or bronze filament to look more like the original at the park. If you print it, be sure to post a pic. I'd love to see it!
[Edit]: I added a second STL that has the “TOMORROWLAND” text de-bossed instead of embossed. Similar to how the actual emblem was designed. Debossed version is 10% larger.
If you want to make a Tomorrowland trash can like mine, I included the SVG file for a Cricut. You DO have a Cricut, right?? If you like 3D printing, you'll find plenty of uses for a Cricut.
