Presenting my compact/travel pill case that I've made for myself, and wanted to share with the community.
All that's needed for assembly is a single rubber band (it handles buttons returning to original position).
Several versions are available in remixes - large, small, and also Russian versions of large & small cases.
Printing recommendations:
- PETG: The reason I recommend PETG is because it can bend without breaking (needed for the "click-in" button attachments). PLA breaks too easily.
- Layer Height: 0.16 layer height will give you stronger/better sliding button attachments on the base. It will also look better.
- Positioning: 3mf files are attached, use them if you want. If not - make sure buttons are printed on their slimmer sides, and make sure you give support to the attachment slider (see photos of how I did it).
- Base: no supports needed.
I've also uploaded the Fusion 360 source file - feel free to modify for your needs, but make sure you provide a link to this page for the original.
Assembly instructions:
- Place a rubber band into the attachment points (see photos).
- Place a button on top the rubber band and push it though (wiggle it around a bit, it will click into place). Mind the button's cut-out for the rubber band (see photos).
Pill opening sizes:
- Small: 7mm
- Large: 17mm
