For my PV-structure of 40^2mm Alu-profiles I needed a couple of end caps. I.a.w. the plan I made a perfectly fitting one

I could have bought some caps for a little money (0,33€/ea.) but those were cheap plastic caps to slip over the profile(s).
According to the profile drawing (sectional cut) I redesigned a cap which is to be inserted into the profile. The contour was just reduced by 0.3mm so any over extrusion would be compensated, then printed in Extrudr hard TPU, black. The first impression was nice, the trial to fit it in was superb. I could also take it out again seamlessly. Very happy with the design and the outcome. Much beter than the slip over version.
