This is a perpetual calendar meaning it can be used indefinitely, regardless of the year.
The date can be adjusted by spinning the rings.

After you print the body insert the plugs into the front of the housing, then you can snap the plate on. It may give resistance just make sure it completely flat. You may have to apply a little force but be cautious, too much force may snap the outer edge.

Printing the plate: If you want a multicolored plate, in your slicer, insert a layer change. I inserted a layer change at layer 11, at 0.15 layer height.
You can also do this with the rings to make the text more visible.

All parts print without supports, and do not require any extra hardware. Everything snaps together. The only thing that might require glue, are the inserts. I have not glued mine because they are pretty snug, but that could vary from printer to printer.
