Given the sad state of Customizer on Thingiverse (I think is been years since it worked for me!). I remade my “Parametric Spinner Fidget Toy (with soft edges)” model in OnShape, entirely from scratch.
Customizable properties:
- Height
- inner bearing outer diameter
- Central bearing size
- outer bearing outer diameter
- Satellite bearings size
- bearing count
- Satellite bearing count.
- Total bearing count is +1 because the model always has an inner/central bearing.
- bearing spacing
- Space between the inner bearing and the satellite bearings
- wall thickness
- Wall thickness around the outside of the satellite bearings
- fillet
- Roundness of the spinner's outer edge
- A fully rounded spinner has a fillet of half of the height (if you add more the model breaks)
The fit on the pre-made parts is very tight. You can of course increase the diameters of the bearings, or maybe try standing on the spinner… But, if you're looking for an excuse to buy yourself some parallel jaw pliers, this might be the time.
This is a remake of my model, which was a remix of JAMESARM97's remix of slick8086's Parametric Tri-Spinner Fidget Toy.
