I've been exploring solutions to mount my CalDigit TS4 under my desk. However, I had specific challenges with my desk having a false bottom. I had limited horizontal space and couldn't insert and remove the TS4 easily.
Taking inspiration from @JasonLang_99641 TS4 Brackets, I created this model with a few additional design considerations:
- Option to insert the TS4 vertically or horizontally
- No screws
- Thinner
- Single piece
The panel/wall thickness is 4.25mm, which gives a more minimalist look. I recommend printing with PTEG Carbon Fiber, as PTEG also helps with the TS4 temperatures. I used Prusament PETG Carbon Fiber.
I printed with supports.
It mounts using double-sided tape. I've made cutouts for the tape at approximately half the width of typical tapes to allow the bracket/mount to be as flush as possible against the desk. I used 3M Scotch Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tape.
I also created a side clip to help with cable management for the desk controller (it's a motorised sit/stand desk).
