This is the ideal choice of PCAR if you want both the Silly Spigot mounting system as well as Thanh's new RIPPCAR geometry.
Variations
The internals of every variation are the same as the RIPPCAR, the only thing that changes is the outer shell.

- Blank - Looks like the Silly Spigot. Comes in a vented version, which preserves the vent holes found on the RIPPCAR—probably not smart to use the vented version if you actually plan on shooting Mega XL darts.
- Rifled - Keeps the RIPPCAR's external rifling which helps with Mega XL performance (according to the comments). The difference between the Silly and Custom styles is just cosmetic.
- Silencer - Has a silencer silhouette. Doesn't actually silence the blaster.
- Cubic - Has a square silencer silhouette. See printing notes below!
- Sniper - Inspired by a similar idea by kippensoep0000 and based off a Barrett .50 cal compensator. Used images of this model for reference. Has a holed variation like kippensoep0000's.
To be clear, only the Blank and Rifled variations shoot Mega XL. The others are cosmetic.
Printing
Regardless of the variation you use, use your slicer's seam painter to make sure no seams touch the internal rifling. You can check the original RIPPCAR post for an image. Generally, I like Silly's recommendations for strength (5 walls, 20% infill), but you could probably get away with less.
Print the Blank, Rifled, and Silencer threaded side down. The Sniper variation should ideally be printed threaded side up, with supports; I haven't tried printing it flat on its side.
The Cubic variation comes with its own screw nut to maintain the square shape. Because the o-ring makes it so the nut never fully seats into the PCAR during use, the nut can be misaligned with the barrel depending on how tightly you screw the nut. I've provided two versions, one for thin o-rings and one for thick o-rings (tested on 1.9mm and 2.5mm thick o-rings respectively). If neither version fits yours, you can change a global parameter in the .f3d file to create your own custom version (for reference, the angles I used are 10deg and -35deg respectively). If you don't use Fusion 360, send me a DM and I can send you a custom angled one.
Instructions and usage
Print your preferred Silly Spigot nut from the Silly Spigot printables page (unless you want the Cubic variation, which has its own nut), then print a RIPPSpigot variation you like.
For installation, follow the instructions for the Silly Spigot.
For tuning, there are some instructions on the RIPPCAR post. I'm not anticipating the tuning to be so bad that it ruins the o-ring seal or prevents Mega XL dart use, but worst-case scenario you can edit the model yourself.
Performance
I don't own a chronograph nor can I find Mega XL darts, so I can't give you FPS numbers. I also haven't tested every variation. Reasonably, you can expect the same performance as using the RIPPCAR on its own. If you decide to print one and perform some testing of your own, post a comment/make for others to see!
Misc
I don't have access to McMaster-Carr parts, so I can't test the cubic variation on actual dash 016 o-ring. I also currently only have one blaster, so I can't test different barrels either. If you decide to test some angles for yourself, do share your results :)
This is just me playing around with stepbashing, so if you have feedback, send it my way!
If I reference your work and feel I've used it inappropriately, send a message as well.
