This was my first fusion 360 project, I wanted to try and modify something existing and had recently seen a video by juskim on his 14g mouse, and decided I wanted to try to make something similar.

It can be used for gaming, it is certainly not great, but the lightweight does actually help, this was moreso a proof of concept and I'm posting it because maybe someone will find it useful or interesting.

What you need:

M2 threaded brass inserts(optional):

you want to get the 3.2 OD and 3mm length

M2 screw set(optional):

CR2032 holder:

Mouse skates:

I used these mouse skates but you can use any as long as they are 6mm DIA max

You can also adapt this to be lipo powered(i think), but I have not had the chance to do that.

Hot Glue gun(janky ik)

CA glue

How to assemble:

disassemble the mouse, it's one screw. it should be under the QC sticker or in plain sight

disconnect the battery cable, and remove it from the battery tabs(where you would install the AAAs)

pick the frame you want, glue variant or screw variant.

for the glue variant(recommended):

take the mouses main board(WITH SCROLLWHEEL AND SCROLLWHEEL SPACER INSTALLED) and test fit it onto the pegs, if it is a good fit, place the lens underneath it, then glue it down.

after the main board is glued down, use your cr2032 battery holder and solder it onto the old battery harness, making sure to keep the polarity correct.

Glue the Battery Holder to the to of the right arm thing(make sure you can open it)

After that make sure the mouse powers on, and you can use CA glue to glue in the left and right click.

then place the mouse skates where as you see fit

for the screw variant:

heatset the brass inserts, and make sure they are flush with the top of their receptacles.

place mouse mainboard(WITH SCROLLWHEEL AND SCROLLWHEEL SPACER INSTALLED) and screw in the board(make sure to install the lens of the optical sensor first, you'll need two m2x4s and one m2x10

then use your cr2032 battery holder and solder it onto the old battery harness, making sure to keep the polarity correct.

Glue the Battery casing to the to of the right arm thing(make sure you can open it)

after that, glue in the left and right click with CA glue.

then place the mouse skates where as you see fit

Print settings:

Material: I tested both PLA and PETG, I would recommend PLA because it is stiffer than PETG, so the frame flexes less. I believe the ideal scenario would be to have the main frame be made out of PLA, and the left and right click made out of PETG.

Layer height: 0.2mm layers will work but 0.15 is much better in my experience, and doesn't take the much extra time.

Infill: doesn't really matter too much

Supports: you do need them, I recommend snug supports for all files

Nozzle: can be printed with either a 0.4 or 0.6(these are the sizes i tested and verified)

Finished product should weigh between 20g-28g
