If you want to use a passive Aluminum case like this.
Then you need the screws to go up through the bottom.
I had already printed this awesome thing, so I just physically modified mine w/ a file.
but for you! I have edited the STL of the original and proved you with a remix! (it's through hole now!)
To get this to work I simply had to obtain 4 M2.5 x 20 screws (sadly they only had flat head at my hardware store -but they work :)

Edit – – I have since made a fan bracket for this aluminum pi case. in case you need more cooling power.
