Based my design off of Jok's. Increased the size to accommodate fitting onto a 6" (150mm) exhaust fan and 6" exhaust duct made from standard HVAC sheetmetal parts. Also added magnets to the housing and gate to allow it to stay fully open or fully closed.
Increased the size of the handle on the gate, as well as added more bolts to hold the parts together. I used (9) M4x15 button head bolts with washers and M4 hex nuts. Magnets used (10) 8mm x 3mm total, 2 in the gate, and 8 on the flanges. With both sets of magnets, there is a very positive “Lock” at both full open and full closed.
You will need to print:
(1x) gate
(1x) spacer
(2x) Flange
I used PETg at 0.30mm layer height, 25% cubic infill, 4 walls with a limited Draft shield set to 5 layers to help prevent warping, especially on the flange prints.
I am guessing PLA would work fine, but as it is will be exposed to a typical mid-western winter, I opted for the stronger material for the colder temps.
I added the orange packing tape to help with a visual indicator of when the gate is in the open position.
