An original model, for providing an elegant and modern way to non-destructively mount and display art, photos, documents, and other paper items on a bulletin board, cork board, or cubicle. Designed to hide the presence of thumb tacks, and features guides along the tabs and a fillet to help make inserting items a breeze.
It comes in a variety of sizes for common photo and art sizes. They mostly differ in width, though the larger sizes have a shallower angle for the groove, to try and keep the art only touching the wall at the very top. The sizes include;
- Letter Paper Size: 215mm
- A4 Paper Size: 210mm
- 4x6 Landscape: 153mm
- 4x6 Portrait: 102mm
- Polaroid 600 Film: 90mm
- Fujifilm Instax: 54mm
I have also provided the .f3d and documented the parametric expressions to make it easy to adapt for your needs. This file, as well as the .step and .3mf files, include examples of the sizes above that I used for checking for interference when designing the .stl files; as well as a thumb tack I had at my desk that I modelled to help check for interference as well.
Note: I have not tested all sizes to see if there is interference with the thumbtack, but I modelled a thumbtack based on ones I had at my desk and it shouldn't be an issue. But if you have issues, I suggest trying flat thumbtacks.
Additionally, if you use paper documents with this holder, I would suggest using card stock to help provide rigidity.
