This is a vintage iconic model dating ca 1970. The print from the cover picture was made with blue silk PLA. The other make was made with neon green translucent PLA and variable height + adaptive cubic infill (hence the stripes)…
I'm providing the MK3S print file; in order to make the print nicer and use fewer supports I have tilted the body at an angle; as in my Peugeot 3008 design I've also tilted the spindles so that they can flex along the perimeters. If you want a different setup or own another printer you need to keep that angle. I've also cut the bumper at that angle so that we have something to start the print ! (sorry for the inaccuracy)
The mirror is fragile but prints OK. Obviously this is one of the details that I might have ignored… There is only one mirror because in 1970 the right mirror was optional.
BMW2002S.stl (and the corresponding print file) have a little less details and should be more kid friendly.
Print the tires in TPU (no infill).
