Grayl Water Bottle Top v2

I lost the top to my GRAYL UltraPress 16.9 oz Water Purifier & Filter Bottle. I looked online for an existing model that I could print, but didn't find one I liked. So I decided to design a replacement that I wouldn't loose a second time. Version 1 was one piece, but upon prolonged use a crack developed in bend of the strap. Version 2 is a hybrid design where the Retainer strap is printed in TPU for flexibility. The retainer is subsequently inserted into the Cap while the Cap is being printed. I printed the Cap in PETG for outdoor use. Enable supports (they will only be used for the crew threads). I used “organic” supports and they were easy to remove.

You will need to pause the print at layer 21 (when printing at a 0.2mm layer height) to insert the Retainer. 

To use, simply tread the retainer on the spout and then flex the retaining strip to screw the cap on.

Please note that while the materials used to print this are food safe, the printing process itself is NOT. Because the parts are printed in layers, there are spaces and gaps that can allow bacteria to grow over time. These parts should be periodically rinsed in bleach to keep them clean.
