Introduction
I've been printing a bunch of ESRack things for my work and home racks and I've always wanted to rackmount these annoying cable boxes. Unfortunately they have a case that's almost exactly 1U high, so the standard ESRack approach doesn't work. I also saw the design by @gregdavill_349939 and liked the simplicity, however I didn't want to waste a whole 1U for just a single modem, and I wanted to be able to view the status LEDs.
This design is just the two unmodified mounting arms from @gregdavill_349939's design, combined with a custom ESRack front plate with a hole for viewing the status LEDs and a hole to glue in a keystone for bringing the ethernet connection to the front.
You will need to print 1x of each model.
Use 6x each of M3x16mm screws and M3 nuts to mount the arms to the face plate. Assemble the rest of the ESRack as per below. (You can also use only 4x of each if you don't have that many)
Optionally, use 4x each M3x8mm and M3 nuts to lock the box in at the back of the arms. It's quite secure without them though.
If you assemble the arms before you install the box, you can slot it in but you need to bend the print quite a bit.
ESRack
The following is info (mostly) copied from the ESRack page:
When I decided to assemble my HomeLab Rack I wanted each device to have its own dedicated holder, as I like to keep everything tidy and wanted to avoid a mass of shelves. Unfortunately I couldn't find any satisfactory solution, so I decided to design my own modular solution that would allow multiple configurations.
The ESRack system includes components:
- Mounting Brackets - used to install unit in the rack, available in 3 sizes:
- Short
- Medium
- Long
- Device Modules - each module can handle a single device
Possible Configurations:
- [Mounting Bracket Short] + [Module] + [Module] + [Mounting Bracket Short]
- [Mounting Bracket Medium] + [Module] + [Mounting Bracket Medium]
- [Mounting Bracket Short] + [Module] + [Mounting Bracket Long]
- [Mounting Bracket Long] + [Module] + [Mounting Bracket Short]
- [Mounting Bracket Long] + [Mounting Bracket Long] (Blank Front Plate)
All modules were designed with very little clearance so installation of some devices may need to be pushed in by force.
Before you start printing the system, print the Connecting Block to check that you will be able to connect the modules.
I apologise that there are no detailed photos of the components after printing, but before assembly. It's because I decide to publish this project after fully assembling the racks.

Part Description
Module Holder for Arris CM8200/NBN Box/Cable box
Suggested Print Settings
Material: PETG (because PoE switch might be too hot for PLA)

Layer height: 0.2 mm
Wall loops: 3
Top/Bottom shell layers: 3
Infill: +25%
Infill pattern: Gyroid

High infill is needed to avoid bending after installing equipment. I used 20% infill and with heavy equipment it's bend a bit.
Assembling
To connect the each individual modules together, you need:
- 4x M4 nuts (DIN934M4)
- 4x M4x12 allen screws (DIN912M4x12-8.8)
Use standard rack screws and nuts for rack mounting.
