I've been looking through the Internet for some design to display my bloodbowl teams on a shelf while not letting dust cover my miniatures, and not found anything that convinced me enough, so I went freecad full on and done my most challenging desingn to date. The disp+bowl case.
It has space to put 3 shelves on it, and 5 miniatures on each, with a clearance of 50+50+75mm between them, to display my bloodbowl teams.
There are 2 shelf designs, one with 5 32mm sockets, and other one with 4 32mm sockets and one 40mm socket in the center, to fit the big guy.
Hope you enjoy it.
Extra materials:
· 8 neodymium magnets of 5mm diameter and 1mm thickness
· 1 acetate sheet (I bought an A4 size and cut to fit the square of the cover
· Glue to attach the magnets and the acetate
How to build:
The cover and box have sockets to put in magnets of 5mm diameter and 1mm thickness, and on the cover I've attached a transparent acetate sheet to save the minis from the dust, they only eat dust on the gaming field :)
Update 23/02: A friend told me that there had been a kickstarter campaign with a similar design, but was cancelled. After checking it, my design is similar to a small part of the casebowl project. I want to clarify that I had never heard of them and don't have any connection with their project. Anyways, their design looks much more elaborated than mine, and additionaly they offered a transport case which I think it's a great idea, but for my initial idea of displaying the minis on a shelf my design is enough good.
