After several improvements, trials and gap adjustment here is my own cutter design:
- Standard trapezoid blade (i.e Stanley, Wurth, etc)
- The blade can be locked in open or closed position with the thumb: slider forward = locked, slider backward = unlocked
- Minimal number or parts
- Convenient, portable but quite robust design
- You have to add just 3x M3x12 screws and 3x M3 self locking nuts
Printed in PETG with no support. The thickness of the blade slot in the blade holder takes into account the lowering of the bridged top layers, which act as an elastic retaining feature for the blade. The hole for the blade blocking pin can be opened easily with a metallic pin or drill
WARNING: The insertion of the blade into blade holder must be carried out with a plier. Don't use your bare hand, it's super dangerous!
