Instructions:
- Prepare the cardboard Prusament box by cutting part of the lid - see images.
- Cut the front part carefully. Ensure that the top edge aligns with the box.
- Cut part of the side flaps, leaving approximately 3 cm.
- Prepare the plastic parts—some of them need to be glued together. Use superglue.
- Insert and glue the pins into the lid.
- Insert and glue the handle holders into the front part.
- Attach the front and back parts using glue. Before gluing, check if they align properly and adjust if needed.
- Assemble the front part:
- Drill or punch six holes in the front part using a screwdriver.
- Fasten the handle holders and handle helpers with four M3x8 bolts and nuts. Do not overtighten. (Bolts used in this build are M3x10, so they are protruding a bit)
- Attach the handle using two M3x20 bolts and nuts. Do not fasten it too tightly. You can use self-locking nuts or secure them with a small drop of superglue.
- Assemble the lock mechanism twice. You will need a lock part, an M3x16 screw, a nut, and two washers. Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant under the bolt head for smoother movement—be careful not to contaminate the bolt threads. Tighten the bolt just enough and secure it with a drop of superglue or a self-locking nut. Glue a cap over the protruding bolt for a cleaner appearance.
- Attach the lid latch:
- Align the lid latch evenly, then drill or punch two holes for the bolts. Fasten it with two M3x8 bolts and nuts, use lid helper. You can use glue for extra reinforcement.
- Install the grid (optional):
- See the reference image for proper grid orientation. Use glue to secure it in place.
- See the reference image for proper grid orientation. Use glue to secure it in place.
Final Notes:
Your Prusament box storage is now complete! You can use it without the grid for storing larger objects or with the grid for organizing small boxes and containers. The container sizes are standardized, allowing you to mix and match different types and sizes.
