This part replaces the internal speed stop plate in the Dremel Lite, allowing for smooth speed adjustment instead of four fixed steps. An added benefit is that the tool now starts at 4000 RPM instead of 8000 RPM, providing better control at lower speeds.
Modification Required
A small section (marked in red in the image) needs to be cut for the part to fit properly.
How It Works
In its original design, the Dremel Lite has four preset speed levels. These are controlled by an internal plastic plate with notches that limit the movement of the blue speed slider. By replacing this plate with this modified version, the restriction is removed, giving the potentiometer full range from low to high speed.
Installation & Disclaimer
To use this mod, you need to open your Dremel Lite and replace the internal plate. This is done at your own risk – there is a chance you could damage the tool or void the warranty.
