this is a old file, so no more updates
i made a universal one that fits all styles now.
if you gota special let me know i will try to make hook for it.
after some time I made the fan holder for two types of grids for the camper and caravan.
I have made two types now, its for the Thetford N4141 of 4242 and the dometic LS300, these are the large fan grids so there is more than enough room for one 120mm fan even maybe two next to each other.
I printed these in PETG or even ABS, because the temp behind the absorption fridge, pla is not up to the task.
these settings are used for both,
- 20% infill
- gyrode or any strong infill.
- layer modification that the hooks are strong. so from 8mm and up you need solid infill.
- supports yes because of the hooks.
- you need to do 3 walls
For assembly you need the following.
- 4X heat inserts for m3 bolts.
- 4X bold m3. for thetfort is 35mm long and dometic is 40mm long.
- 1x 120mm fan
- 1X a bimetallic switch 50 degree C for switching the fan on or of. ( the way that I do it by the cerbo GX).
for the mounting of the fan.
Thetford is on the inside of the holder for direct on the grid and for Dometic is the outside on the fanholder.
I'm working on a fan holder that will fit smaller grids, but it takes time to make it.
