Summary The Elefont Ring is an ergonomic accessibility tool designed for enhanced grip stability. It is a functional design concept created to explore new ways of interacting with writing tools. This latest iteration features a flexible, adaptive design that conforms to various finger or toe sizes and pen or pencil diameters.

The grip holes measure 7.48mm, making them ideal for standard writing tools like HB2 pencils and Bic pens. While the TPU material allows for flexibility, expanding up to 9.50mm, using significantly larger tools may overextend the material. The multi-hole structure allows for customizable grip positions, which may help improve comfort during extended use.

Thanks to its TPU construction, the adult version accommodates finger and toe diameters of 18mm and larger. For smaller sizes, an included adapter ensures a secure fit while maintaining flexibility. A dedicated version is also included for smaller diameters (12mm), which can expand slightly as needed.

The adult version includes an additional adapter to reduce the internal diameter to 14mm while remaining flexible.

Currently, this is the 26th iteration of this design concept, crafted from Overture High-Speed TPU 95A. This project is an ongoing R&D exploration, and I am eager to hear feedback from the maker community to help refine the design further.

Why the name Elefont Ring? The four stumps resemble elephant feet, and when you insert a finger or toe through the hole, it looks like an elephant’s trunk.

Let me know what you think—I’d love your input to keep improving this design!

Created by Tryspire

**Update 1: Introduced a larger Elefont ring with a 20.5mm diameter to better fit fingers or toes, depending on your preferred use.

**Update 2: Added a desk/wall mount for convenient and tidy storage of your Elefont rings.

**Update 3: Released the Elefont Shoe — a dedicated readjuster designed to restore the Elefont ring's original shape when the pen/pencil hole becomes overstretched. Simply press the ring into the Elefont Shoe:

For minor deformations: leave it in for 1–2 hours.

For more significant stretching: let it sit overnight or for 6–12 hours.

Pro tip: You can store the Elefont Shoe on the Elefont ring desk/wall mount—just hang it backwards for a perfect fit.
