Cycling Trainer Table

This design is inspired by several existing products, but I wanted to create a more cost-effective and customizable solution. My goal was to make a versatile stand that can be configured for use with a laptop, tablet, or phone.

Required Hardware

• M6x12 Bolts (Amazon) – Minimum of 10 required, plus one additional for each mounting piece.
• M6 x 6mm L x 8mm OD Heat Set Inserts (Amazon) – 10 to 16 required.
• 1" x 4' Wooden Dowels (Home Depot) – Three required. These can be cut to size if a lower height is preferred, but I kept mine at the full 4' length for a taller setup.

Printing Guidelines

• Tabletop & Base: Print face down in PETG with 4 perimeters and at least 20% infill for strength. PETG is recommended for durability, but PLA may work for lighter use cases.
• Minimum Bed Size: 240mm x 228mm (e.g., Prusa MK3 or larger). 
• Foot Pieces: Print in TPU with 20% infill.

I’d love to hear your thoughts! If something isn’t working as expected, let me know—I’m happy to make adjustments. I also plan to add extra features like cable clips for the legs and a towel holder in future updates.

Update Log:

• 3/4/25 - Added a smaller base with a steeper leg angle of 20 degrees. This results in an overall smaller footprint and can be printed on a prusa mini. This also increases the height and may require trimming the 4' dowels.
