I needed a back of the box portal (not top feed) so I could monitor the hydro/temp display in the front for my setup.
My steps for the mod: (Read all before starting)
1. I placed painters tape on the back just below the lip. 2. Marked a dot 10 mm down from the lip and 48mm in from the side (my box center and safe distance drop). 3. Drilled a pilot hole using 1/8 inch bit (high speed drill). 4. Reamed the 1/8 hole with a ¼ inch bit (high speed drill). 5. Reamed the ¼ inch hole with a 3/8 inch bit (high speed drill). 6. Removed the tape and checked for burs. 7. Removed the (not in use) black rubber gasket from the lid and installed in the hole (see my mod TOP PLUG to fill the lid hole or use black tape). 8. I used a rubber band to attach the Guide and the Cap together using the added loops (see photos). 9. Pushed this printed guide mod through the gasket. 10. Load a spool and feed the filament through the interior guide hole and push the end into the cap hole (it will grip the filament). 11. Slide the cap/filament back into the guide to close the portal. To use/load printer, pull on the cap only to get the filament, undo the cap and let it hang from the rubber band, load your printer as normal.
