This model was originally designed to work with the Kicker 51KST2504. I tested the bracket with the JL C2-075ct. The JL surface mount solution doesn't work well with this bracket and may require some modification to hold the tweeter (super glue, hot glue, etc.)
The original tweeter bracket was not designed to be removed and appears to be molded in place. Removing the stock tweeter bracket may require the use of a drill. The angles on the model aren't perfect, so I recommend placing speaker gasketing tape around the speaker opening, before installing the bracket.
