I have a fascination with Waves and the Moiré Patterns that often reveal themselves under certain conditions, and I have tried to capture these in various ways with my art works on Sketchfab. I thought to try get the essence of it in a 3D printed form.

Originally I intended to do a set of 3 as each design also represents the 3 types of transformations used in 3D modeling, Location, Rotation and Scale. Each design was produced by using one of the 3 transformations along with proportional editing on the very center polygon. I decided to add a 4th design to make it a 4 set which might suit a wall display better, the 4th design is also based on a Rotation transformation.
These are designed to be displayed on a wall, or suspended with thread, in whichever orientation pleases you, either alone or as a set of 2 or more. They Ideally look best in black but could look quite interesting in other colors or filament textures.

They are reasonably sturdy and rigid considering how thin they are, however they are still a bit delicate so take some care with them.
You can move one or more over another , up, down, left, right, rotate, etc which will produce interesting moiré patterns.
I have provided 2 versions of this, a 4 print plate version with each design large on each plate, and a one plate version with all the designs as one print job, these smaller versions are ideal to use for sliding over each other with your hands.
PLEASE NOTE: The one print job version is not suitable for A1 Mini's with the standard 0.4mm nozzle. You will loose detail in some of the finer detailed areas. It may be possible to print all 4 of them at once cleanly with your Mini if you have a 0.2mm nozzle.
PLEASE NOTE: Be patient when the print job is complete, wait for your print plate to fully cool down and take extra care taking these designs off the plate.
PLEASE NOTE: When holding these up against a bright light you may see super super fine stringing, do not under any circumstances use a lighter or any particularly hot method to try get rid of them. Even for a fraction of a second. On some of the very small details in the design if you use a lighter some of the very fine strings may curl up into a ball and fuse against the print design. If you end up with stringing please use a thin brush or something else to lightly rub away any very fine stringing.
Any stringing I got with on these were not visible in normal conditions anyway.
PLEASE NOTE: the photos taken were using an earlier iteration of this design and not using ideal filament color. However the screenshots from Sketchfab represent the final design.
I may design a desk mount for the smaller versions of these designs in which you can stand them up on a desk or shelf as a display and there will be a way to put 2 or more into the same mount which will produce different patterns depending which ones you mixed together.
Please let me know if there are any problems with this as so I can try make additional modifications to it.
