My wife is heavily into various forms of crafts. As such, she uses many different cutting tools many which are different size scissors. The scissors that this cover was designed for are Fiskars Micro-tip. These scissors are extremely sharp and pointed, and several times she had come close to being cut when she would retrieve them from her tool kit. After about the third time, I said enough is enough and I'm going to do something about this.
This sheath was designed to snap over the cutting end of these scissors providing a safety cover. The added benefit being, when the scissors are protected, they also remain as sharp as the day she purchased them. This file prints very quickly and there are no special limitations.
I've decided to include the Fusion file for this design just in case you want to use this design for other scissors. Enjoy!
Here are the settings that I used:
- .20 mm layer height
- .4 mm nozzle
- 99% infill
- Brim: Yes
- Supports: No
- 2 perimeter
- 4 Layers top and bottom
I used PLA, but there is no reason why whatever filament you happen to be using or currently have loaded wouldn't work.
