Replacement handles for a staple puller / remover for when the originals break. A cadquery file is included so that any needed modifications can be made. The detailed design given here was for a staple remover I've had since probably the late 1970's (!) and it may have originated with my parents in the 1950's or 1960's. I like the chunky handles better than the originals and it all seems to work fine.

Post-Printing

After removing any residual parts of the old handles and any rivets, these handles were added. First, the posts were melted over with an old soldering iron and then cyano-acrylate glue was allowed to wick into each surface between the new handles and the original metal parts of the remover.

How I Designed This

I chose a simple, blocky, design with posts which go into holes in the original metal parts of a staple remover. The goal was to make something that, with glue, could be securely attached. Measurements were taken from the original pieces. The design was implemented in cadquery and the cadquery file is included so that you can modify the design as you wish.
