I need a bunch of different spools so I figured why not make a parametric file! It consist of three files that you need to edit and export, flanges (2x) and the rod (1x).
you can customize everything, what exactly is writem further below. Feel free to use as you wish ^^
Just open the link and open the Variable table to edit all the variables (the button on the right side with “(X)” symbol
parameters:
SpoolOD: Sets the outer diameter of the spool (flanges)
RodOD: Seots the outer diameter of the rod part
CuttoutWidth: sets the linear lenght (not the “circomference”) of how wide the cutouts base (side facing center) is.
CuttoutNumber: sets the amount how many cutouts are made in the Flanges
Thickness: Sets the thickness of the flanges and teh screwparts of both Flanges and rod (tho in most cases the hole parameter effects the rod part more)
SpoolLenght: sets the total lenght of the spool (so 2x flanges both rod = SpoolLenght)
ThreatHub: sets how high/big the threaded part on both flanges and Rod should be
Hole: sets the diameter of an central hole that goes all the way through
