Here is a great use for those little glass ramekins that Gu desserts come in, they make great small parts storage.
There are a few other parts needed and a small amount of simple assembly.
Besides the printed parts, you will need some Gu ramekins, 2x 608 bearings, a piece of M8 threaded rod(185-190mm long), a few small M8 washers to ensure the threaded rod can rotate freely and also to do any spacing needed between the top nut in the base and the first tier of the carousel. There are also recesses on the underside of the base to take stick on ‘cupboard door bumpers’ to stop it from sliding around, but these are not strictly needed.
Print 2 ‘Main Tier’ pieces and one of everything else.
Assembly: The bearings push in snugly into the base, one from the bottom and one the top. 1 washer and nut goes below the bottom bearing and the other on top of the upper bearing, tightening up snugly to prevent wobble. The tiers then slide on the rod(you may need an additional washer or two to get the first tier high enough to not foul the base) with a third nut securing them at the top of the rod and the endcap placed on top.
The levels are of course modular and it seems very stable with 5 levels, just adjust the length of the threaded rod accordingly.
