After getting this car back in the shop after it suffered at the hands of an abusive previous owner, it had many broken or missing plastic parts. As everyone knows, multiple heat cycles on plastic makes it brittle. Add to that the fact the previous owner is an idiot, the parts didn't stand a chance. In order to not break it further by trying to remove it, I designed a holder which should fit around the existing harness cover and bolt to the side of the block.
This is a high heat area and will require the use of higher temp material. Do NOT use PLA on this print as it will be hot enough to turn it into a melted mess. This was printed in PA6-CF.
Pay attention to orientation of the print as well. Do not print the part with the front facing surface of model touching the build plate. Layer orientation along this axis will not properly disperse the stress. If you do, you will see this result:
Instead print the model in this layout, using supports as needed:
To get the model to fit around the harness enclosure you need to clip the existing mounting points off the plastic body. If you are needing this part, snapping the ears off should be easy or already done.
