Introducing the M.C.S (Modular Cafe System) as your own personal coffee corner customizer! This 80x80x20mm tile based system has been designed to not require supports or additional hardware to be usable. Just stick the tiles you need and some connector pieces in your slicer, then hit print and you're good to go! I have even designed some cover pieces that you can print if you don't want to look at the holes on the edges. Whether you're an espresso enthusiast, pour over passionist, or just a busybody that needs easy access to your capsules, this system can organize whatever you need!
Don't see a tool holder you need? Just mention it or better yet…make a remix! I've attached a blank 1x1 and 2x1 tile file that you can use to create whatever you need. Heads up, the holes on each side are 10mm deep, meaning there's a 60x60mm workspace square in the center for the 1x1 tile. I highly encourage you to create something yourself, make it your own! I wanted to create a system that anyone could use and expand upon (I think we as a community do like our modular organizers).
The tolerances for the connectors and separate pieces were designed with factory settings of a Bambu P1P being used as the benchmark. Mine would give a satisfying “click” sound when pressing together. I don't know how it will affect everyone else's prints so if you're having issues with the connector pieces being too tight, please let me know and I'll do what I can to make it an easier fit. I would really appreciate feedback as this is my first time tackling something like this and I want to grow in my ability as a designer.
I recommend printing with a 0.4 nozzle, 3 walls thick parameters, and the infill of your choosing. I printed gyroid at 5 percent and the tiles and connectors felt sturdy enough to handle basic use without breaking.
Thank you for checking out my entry into the contest and I hope you can create your own little cafe in your kitchen with this system!
