Inspired by the whirlpool portal scenario from Tabletop Monthly. Build a boat straight into the whirlpool and you'll come out the end of a different one. An effective way to cover large distances on large Catan boards.
Fq97's desert tile was scaled horizontally to 200%, then cut to 64mm to make it a third water tile. I then used the vortex funnel as a negative to carve out the whirlpool.
