I designed this simple monitor mount to use for a 24 inch 100x100mm compatible monitor.
Material needed:
This mount needs 27-28mm wooden roundstock found in hardware stores. Cut to length to determine the height of the monitor. Keep in mind that the higher you place the monitor, the less stable it becomes.
7x M3 bolts, nuts and washers are used the mount the parts of the vesa mounts to each other and to clamp the roundstock. Don't overtighten! You can also use some wood screws to firmly attach the roundstock and the vesa mount parts, if the clamp is to loose.
Glue can be used to increase stability between the parts!
Sand, lead beads or stones can be used to increase the weight of the foot and improve the stability of the foot. Pause prints and add the material to the infill.
Printing instructions:
Parts fit in an Ender-3 v1.
Print ‘vesa_1’ laying flat on one of its sides; no supports needed fpr this part!
‘Vesa_2’ needs small supports for the holes in the middle as seen in this pictures. They decrease in diameter at a few mm in, to make the screwheads and washers sit flush.
I used PLA with 5 perimeters, 5 top/bottom layers at 0.3mm layer height. For 'vesa_1' and ‘vesa_2’ I used 40% infill to make the parts really strong. They take the majority of the load.
‘Foot’ only has 10-20% infill to make loading sand easier. Seems plenty strong, but use at your own risk!
