Heel forks, or heel hooks for a circular knitting machine. These tools are used to add weight in specific places of the sock while knitting a heel, to keep the correct tension.
The fork is a single piece that can be printed without support. The slotted hole is to add weights, the straight side can hold a metal fork made out of 1mm metal wire. In my case I used 1mm welding wire, but a paperclip should also work.
Bend a U shape out of the wire, and insert it in the 2 holes. Then trim the U to size, and bend the wire into 2 fingers.
