This is the final version of a ski mount for transportation purpose or storage, here is a quick overview:
- multiple piece project, so you can always swap damaged parts and print faults are not wasting too much filament.
- base and side TPU Parts keep them secure and save
- additive possiblity to use a rubberstrap for fixation (I used a old bicycle butyl inner tube)
- ski mount can be adapted with different magnetic TPU side inserts (5mm, 7mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm) for various ski width (best would be one side fixed with M3 screws and the other side with magnets for best interchangeability)
- parts are connected with Heat inserts and M6 and M3 screws
- base will be fixed width M8 screws (do not overtight it)
Print Settings:
ASA/ABS/PC minimum 4-6 walls and higher infill on the holding parts, the use of modifiers with higher infill would be also recommended (look for the yellow modifierer in the pics). For the Base and side inserts use some soft/semisoft TPU.
Magnets: you have to glue them in th inserts
hint: dont pull your skis out! lift them or rais them on one side
never forget: all the stuff in your car can kill you in case of an accident or abrupt breaking, also your dog, running chainsaw and also your lovely sports equipment like your skis. fix it!
