I used a Ruthex ¼-20 heated insert in the hole. This provides a lot of different mounting options. You can use a RAM ball mount or a tripod mounting plate. In the pictures I show a 1" RAM ball mount and a Ulanzi Claw quick release plate. I printed this standing on its thin edge on a Bambu labs X1C using eSUN PLA+. 30% Gyroid infill. Normal supports took some effort to remove. Tree supports would probably have been easier to remove.
