Tape Measure Winder

  • is way harder to print but winding is easier.

A compact and easy-to-print tape measure rewinder – perfect for organizing your workshop.
This design consists of 3 parts:

• Body – holds the tape and provides the structure
• Rod – slides through the body and anchors the tape end
• Handle – snaps onto the rod and lets you rotate it for smooth winding

The handle also locks the rod in place. Everything fits snugly and prints cleanly.

Tape Measure Winder Assembly Instructions

Place the tape into the slot of the body.
Insert the tape through the designated slot in the body of the winder.

Position the tape's end in the center of the hole.
Align the end of the tape with the center of the hole on the rod.

Insert the rod through the hole and secure the tape in the center.
Slide the rod through the hole in the body and make sure the tape is fixed in place at the center.

Press the handle firmly onto the rod.
Gently press the handle onto the rod to lock it in place. Apply pressure to ensure it's securely attached.

Start winding.
Begin rotating the rod to wind the tape back into the body.

My print settings:
* 0.4 mm nozzle
* 0.2 mm layer height
* 3 walls
* 10% infill
* supports: automatic tree, only on buildplate (as shown in the picture)
