I needed to add a light to my smaller inspection mirror as the one with lights is too big for many places. It is a compromise between light weight and still sturdy enough and easily assembled. The mirror should be of 31mm diameter but the model can likely be scaled a bit for slightly different size mirrors.
Printing instructions
Tested in PETG so that is what I recommend. You need to have good layer adhesion for the clips. I recommend to use the one with the custom supports (optimized for 0.2mm layers) as regular supports might be hard to remove. Use inner/outer wall order to properly print the clips. Infill doesn't matter much as the part will be printed mostly solid anyway.
Materials required
- sliding switch of size 4x4x9mm
- 3mm white led, 3V threshold voltage, 20mA (so to not need a resistor)
- 2 M2x4 machine screws or similar
- wire with max. outer diameter of 2mm
- heatshrink tubing
- CR2032 battery

Assembly instructions
- Snap off the custom supports or other supports used. Solder two pieces of wire to the switch and push into place. It should be a tight fit but secure with glue if in doubt. Measure the wire so you can route it to the front part and solder the cathode to the wire. Don't forget the heat shrink tubing. Press the led in place (drill the hole if required or use glue if loose). Route the other wire from the switch to the battery compartment and strip the insulation from the part after the hole.

- Insert the battery and bend the anode of the led so it is above the battery.

- Screw the lid in place. Don't overtighten as the screws are very small and thread into plastic.

- Carefully snap into place. It should be quite tight fit but not so much so that the tabs break.

- Done!
