This is a barber scissors prop I designed and printed for a local film production. In the movie, one of the main characters gets stabbed in the head with a pair of barber scissors.
One arm of the scissors will be cut and will be glued inside the holder, then the holder will be strapped to the head of the actor.
Printed on decent FDM printer with 0.2mm layer height, its good enough as a general movie prop, but if you are going macro on the scissors, then you should print them on SLA printer.
What really makes the difference is the movie “makeup artist”, the guy that paints stuff to make them look real… The makeup artist of this movie (https://www.instagram.com/igor.gorko) was able to make the scissors look more real than the real thing.
