CYC Photon bash guard. CYC Motor is kind of exposed and the cooling fins seems fragile so I made this simple crash protection. Should provide good cooling with the many holes. It could collect dust though but easy to remove and clean.
Additional material needed:
Two M4x8 screws, or wooden screws depending on your filament.
Print instructions:
Nothing particular, print in PETG or TPU. For TPU you might wanna use version with tighter hole (and wooden screw).
Note! There is an optional model which are “exact fit”, that one needs support to be printed, and the clamp is really tight, can not recommend using that one but have provided it anyway as a separate zip file (my photos are this version actually).
Mount instructions:
Put bash guard in place, make sure it sits in the “slots” on motor and correctly rotated. It is a little tight fit and not too distinct position when you have it correct. Just fiddle around until you feel you have it correct. Then put clamp over motor and assemble with back side first. Hold together and assemble front side. It is kind of tight, it should be. But once you have everything in position and keep slight press with hand it should be easy to mount.
