First, a shout out to the following creators whose GPU support models saved me a lot of time since they already had modeled the front panel hole locations.
This is a GPU support bracket that I designed for my founder's RTX 5080. I wanted something that screws into the M3 holes on the front of the card and mounts directly to the case's front panel. Since my SSD screw holes would be occupied, this support bracket also uses two alternative mounting locations. I also wanted to have a potentially elegant solution for routing and holding cables (SATA power and data, bottom fans in the rear, maybe GPU power cables), so I added a shelf.
Three designs are available as I chronologically iterated. This is my first real design (done in Tinkercad), so expect a lot of rough edges and lack of optimization. I appreciate any feedback you can provide!
- To mount the GPU, remove the two M3x4mm screws on the front of the GPU with a Torx T4 driver.
- Attach the bracket to the GPU with two M3x8 screws.
- Attach the bracket to the case with M3x20 screws and secure with nuts.
