This 3D printable construction set is designed to help visualize and understand basic 3D geometric shapes. Ideal for classrooms or at-home learning, it supports the development of spatial reasoning, logical thinking, and creativity. The set is fully modular and allows for endless combinations.

The kit includes:

Colored rods representing the edges of geometric solids (cubes, cuboids, prisms, pyramids)

Connectors representing the vertices, enabling the rods to be joined at various angles

Special joints for adjustable angles and moving parts

The components snap together easily, making it possible to build solids like:

Cubes and cuboids (90° fixed angle connectors)

Square pyramids (hinged connectors + "cap" piece)

n-sided prisms (fully adjustable 3-part connectors)

This printable tool is perfect for teaching 3D geometry, volume, surface area, or even solving word problems in math. It allows students not only to visualize concepts but also to physically construct what they’re learning about.

Recommended print settings:

Material: PETG (for better flexibility and durability)

Layer height: 0.2 mm

No supports needed

Print different rod lengths in different colors for easier identification

Print the parts:

Rods (edges) in several lengths – print in different colors to distinguish them

Connectors: L-shaped (for cubes/cuboids), hinged (for pyramids), 3-part adjustable (for prisms)

“Caps” for the top of pyramids

Choose your shape:

For a cube or cuboid, use only L-shaped connectors. All angles are fixed at 90°.

To build a square pyramid, use hinged connectors for the base and vertical edges. Finish with the pyramid “cap” to hold the top point.

For prisms, use the adjustable 3-part connectors. These allow you to customize the angle between edges and build prisms with any number of sides.

Assembly tips:

Rods snap into connectors firmly – no glue needed.

When planning your model, consider the fact that rod lengths are slightly shorter than the full edge length (to account for the connector size). A 6 cm edge = ~4.4 cm rod + connectors.

Use in the classroom:

Hand out sets to students and let them build shapes based on given dimensions.

Use for tasks involving volume/surface area calculation or spatial visualization exercises.
