Carrto: Robot Car with Semi-Automatic Pet Award Cannon

Project for the Arduino x Prusa Contest

Carrto is a wireless robot car powered by an Arduino Nano ESP32. This project fully leverages the board’s integrated Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) capabilities, enabling a seamless connection with compatible controllers. For this build, an Xbox Series Controller was used, successfully connecting via BLE.

⚠ Important:
The Arduino Nano ESP32 exclusively supports the BLE protocol. This means controllers that use other Bluetooth standards, such as DualShock 3, DualShock 4, or DualSense, are not compatible.

The entire development process was carried out using Arduino IDE for coding, Fusion 360 for 3D design, and Figma for documentation, schematics, and visual planning.
When selecting components, the focus was to keep the project affordable, functional, and easy to replicate, using widely available parts like yellow TT gear motors and an MG90S servo motor — durable, reliable, and cost-effective components.

Carrto: A Safe, Fun Robot Car with a Semi-Automatic Cannon for Pet Awards

Carrto is more than just a robot car; it's an interactive toy. It features a semi-automatic cannon designed to reward your pets in a fun and safe way. It's the perfect gift for your furry friends! This project was designed to be both safe and exciting for the whole family.

3D Printing Recommendations

All parts are designed to be printable on small 3D printers with a build volume of just 180 × 180 mm, making it ideal for makers with compact equipment.
For maximum durability (especially for outdoor use), it is highly recommended to print using PETG, ABS, or ASA filaments.

Recommended Print Settings

  • 3 perimeters

  • 20% infill (gyroid pattern recommended)

  • 0.2mm layer height

  • 4 solid top and bottom layers
