Description:
This remix is a shorter version of the original modern hook, designed specifically to fit under tight spaces like closet shelves or cabinets. I love the original design, but wanted something that would fit in my hall closet on this horizontal wooden trim installed under a shelf, and the original hook couldn't be mounted - which I only realized AFTER screwing in the slete moiunts for the hooks(!). While compact, it still maintains a clean, invisible-mount look—and introduces a functional design upgrade.
Shortened Profile: The overall depth is reduced so it can fit in low-clearance areas like under-shelf storage zones. Since the hook slides on from above, you still have to leave at least the height of the hook ABOVE the clete so you can slide it on.
Wall-Clearing Hook Design: The hook geometry holds items slightly away from the wall, preventing them from pressing or scraping against it—especially useful for things like bags, hats, or cables that would otherwise rest flat against the wall and leave marks over time.
Like the original, it uses the same cleat mount, so no changes to the mounting system are required.
