To regain overview over my filaments I created this universal filament sample clip and a ø25mmx2mm sample part.
The clip can be slided into an existing cut-out, or you cut-out by yourself. See photographs.
Thus the clip can be removed and reused for another pack of filament.
Into the spring forced pocket you can slide in a sample print of your filament.
This provides you overview and order in your filament assortment.
WHen a new pack comes in, I always glue a label on the front side showing material (PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, …), brandname and color name. The color of the labels is unique dedicated to the material. E.g. Yellow for PLA, Green for PETG, Orange for HIPS, etc.
Designed in TinkerCad, printed on my MK3, MK4 and Bambu's. Label clip printed in transparent PETG upright (see photograph) with organic supports. Upright for horizontal print lines and layers for better flexibility of the clip function.
The color samples were printed face to heatbed, so a standard structure provides same color impression. I used a slight texture. The usually fit only one direction as they are conically shaped.
