This is an enclosure for a LilyGo T-Connect, specifically designed for use with an RJ45 breakout board. I'm personally using the T-Connect with YamBMS, and using the RJ45 breakout board to connect the CAN interface and the 12V power input to an EG4 12000XP inverter (the 12V power input is connected to the inverter's 12V dry contacts).
This is the RJ45 breakout board I'm using. I then just use a standard Cat6 ethernet cable to another RJ45 keystone jack which is mounted in one of the punchout holes on the bottom of the 12000XP. Inside I have wired the keystone jack to the CAN port and 12V dry contacts. If you do this, be sure to use a 1A inline fuse on the 12V line. Here's a model for the keystone jack mount along with more relevant photos.
Double check the CANbus RJ45 pinout for your specific inverter, the EG4's are generally as follows, but be sure to verify this yourself:
Pin 4 - CAN H
Pin 5 - CAN L
Pin 6 - GND
Known Issues:
I think the LED window is off by 2-3mm, but it works fine for my needs (YamBMS makes all the LEDs the same color anyway).
The tolerance for the RJ45 breakout board mount may be too tight, and the tolerances on the boards themselves a bit too loose, you may need to shave some material off one or the other.
I had originally used 3mm walls and the box was nice and sturdy, but to save material and printing time I changed it to 2mm. It's still sturdy, but not quite as robust. The step and f3d files are included, but the history is messy and changing the wall variables will not have the desired effect.
