All models are designed to print at 0.25 mm layer height, without support when oriented as is.

Required parts:

  • 2pcs 608-bearings (8×22×7mm)
  • M5: 2×25mm, 2-4 nuts, optionally washers
  • M3: 1×25mm, 2 nuts, optionally washers

Three sets of gears are provided, 28:56, 24:60 and 21:63 for gear ratios 1:2, 1:2.5 and 1:3 respecively. (All sets have the same c.t.c. distance.) Each size of gear comes in two variants, with and without slots for M5 nuts. To properly seat the nuts - use a lighter to heat the nut before firmly pressing it into the gear. The ones without nut slots have a slightly smaller bore and should be tapped (an M8 tap can be used on the larger gear, which can then be attached with a 16 mm M8 screw).

The bushings will need to be drilled with a 5 mm drill to get a smooth bore. I've provided two variants, one plain and a shoulder washer, either one can be used.

The slot(s) of the bobbin holder probably needs to be sanded a bit to get a good fit. Nominal bobbin thinckness is in the file name. I'd recommend the three slot version.

I've made two versions of the winder base that can reasonably be useful to others, one wich can be attached to just about any surface with some countersunk screws, and one with a built in clamp. The clamp version requires two extra M5 nuts and a 45 mm hex-headed M5 screw for 8-30 mm clamp range. (Anything with two 22 mm holes 42 mm apart can be used instead of my bases.)
