Using D Series XLR patch panels and stage boxes along with modified blanking modules provides an easy way of making custom panels. I've used these on numerous installations over the years.
The files are basically blank modules with the appropriate holes to suit standard sizes of switch as follows:
- Blank
- 16mm panel mount switch or indicator
- 8mm panel mount switch or indicator
- Miniature toggle switch module with no keyway
- Miniature toggle switch with a keyed washer
- Miniature toggle switch with a flat (D Shaped panel cut out)
- 3.5mm Jack Socket
I've made the M3 fixing holes tight so that you may not need to use any nuts when fixing the module to a panel or stage box.
I'll be adding more modules soon for potentiometers, rotary switches, key switches etc.
The modules mount from the rear of the panel and should suit panels of approximately 2mm in thickness.
I print them with the front facing down on to the build plate to get a better surface finish. Supports are needed but come away quite easily using a craft knife.
